I’m not going to lie, I definitely dread this time of year. I watch everyone around me do wonderful things for their Mother’s; that they deserve. Things that I can’t do for my own anymore. This is my second Mother’s Day without my Mom. Although the pain still hurts me every single day, the wound is healing. I can look through pictures of my Mom, and talk about her openly without starting the water works, that means I’m getting by, right?
My Mom was the most selfless, courageous, beautiful woman that I have ever had the privilege of knowing. She never let cancer hold her back from doing anything. I hope that where ever she is, she knows how special she was to many people. Especially me.
You touched the heart’s of countless people around you, and we miss you so much every single day. Have a great Mother’s Day, Mom. I love you.
